Sometimes we forget how much we help during the year.
 Check out this updated list from the Community Service Committee!
 
  • New Projects added this last year include- 
    1. Library at Starting Point
    2. Baby book bags for Freedom Library
    3. Setting up Lunchtime monthly at Gibson Senior Center 
    4. Files for Life a method to keep all your medical information readily available should you need to have an ambulance come to your home.
    5. Our newest project is supplying non food essentials to teens, families and seniors in the Mount Washington Valley. We work with the Waystation, The White Mountain Community Health Center, Ossipee Concerned Citizens, The Revolving Closet and the Gibson Center to distribute laundry cards, gas cards, diapers of all sizes and other non food essentials. 
  • Members served lunch at the Gibson Senior Center's Volunteer Luncheon
  • Co-sponsored and hosted the DCYF Foster Children's Christmas Party
  • Members shopped for the Tamworth Community Christmas Project (gifts for needy children)
  • Baked & delivered Christmas and Valentine cookies to the Mt. View and Mineral Springs Nursing Homes
  • Packed bags for "End 68-hours of Hunger" program
  • "Mail for Me" program supplied magazine subscriptions to approximately 30 children
  • Support the Laura Foundation for Autism and Epilepsy by helping to staff the Halloween Town fundraiser and the Pond Hockey fundraiser
  • Wrote and supplied Christmas cards for soldiers overseas
  • Made and donated baby book bags to the local library
  • Collected can tabs to benefit the Shriner's Hospitals
  • Donated individually to Club 21 
  • Donated monies raised as a group to Club 21 
  • Donated books as gifts to DCYF for foster children
  • Donated $150 to Tin Mountain to sponsor children for summer camp
  • Purchased $200 worth of supplies for Starting Point
  • Served and provided breakfast and lunch for the Habitat for Humanity Women's Build Project
  • Make Way for Readers Program- 509 Preschool children receive bags with information about the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten programs at their local libraries. 
  • Provided Comfort bags consisting of personal care items and toiletries to guests of Starting Point's Grace House.
We have many new and ongoing projects and invite you to help in any way that you can.
