Our newest literacy program make Way for Readers kicked off a couple of weeks ago with members delivering to local preschool programs over 500 bags and a classroom book Tiny T .Rex and The Impossible Hug. The bags for preschoolers included a Dr. Seuss magnet, information about the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program, a list of local libraries and a tally sheet to get started reading. In addition, grants of $200 were given to local libraries to support their 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program.
